PRESENTATION /

The Granada Sacred Music Festival MUSAG was created with the aim of connecting the sacred repertoire from different periods with the most representative monumental spaces of Granada's historical and artistic heritage, generating a unique and transcendental musical experience for the public. This festival is a tribute to the spirituality and transformative power of sacred music, which has inspired generations throughout the centuries.

In Granada’s majestic churches and iconic venues, we will celebrate the diversity and beauty of sacred music in all its forms. From Gregorian melodies to Renaissance polyphonies, Baroque masterpieces and contemporary compositions that explore the divine, MUSAG offers a sonic journey through time and soul. Top musicians join internationally renowned artists and emerging young talents to offer masterful performances that will lift our spirits and connect us with the transcendental. In addition to concerts, lectures, workshops, masterclasses, meetings with artists and other activities will be organized to delve deeper into the historical and cultural context of these repertoires.

OBJECTIVES /

The main objectives of the MUSAG Festival include celebrating spiritual diversity and promoting intercultural dialogue through music. Furthermore, one of its fundamental missions is the preservation and dissemination of musical heritage, with special attention to the Spanish and Latin American Baroque repertoire, giving life to all those works of our cultural heritage that, despite their quality and importance, remain outside the usual concert circuits. Furthermore, the festival has a firm commitment to contemporary musical creation, trying to reflect the relevance of the sacred repertoire among today's composers.
